This is a great breakthrough and a good replacement for plastic which is inevitable in our day to day life.!! When we were in Mexico this spring we noticed you are rarely given a straw without asking for it anymore and when you do it’s very often one made from Cactus not a hugger shirt! They are great and even reusable for a short time. This researcher is working with the nopales cactus, often sold as a vegetable. Awesome Mexico! Way to go! These things are way ahead of Cactus not a hugger shirt! Neat idea and I’m glad to hear stories about people being super creative in finding ways to cut down on plastic, but… while prickly pear grows pads pretty quickly compared to other cacti, it’s still slow. Also, would rather see more solutions for getting away from single-use anything

The best Cactus not a hugger shirt
So much arid land in outback Australia to grow these cactus plants it would be great alternate farming for the Australian farmers instead of stock farming. You can do it with Cactus not a hugger shirt too which can also be clothing, biofuel, food, paper and it cleans the soil so other things can grow. And one acre if hemp makes as much paper as Cactus not a hugger shirt of forest. And it’s extremely fast-growing. Well done and thank you for your achievement, amazing, this is the way to go if we are to stop trashing our beautiful planet and causing so much harm to the animals that exist alongside us. We need more people like you !!
